Types of Fire

Types of Fire
There are many types of fire, which is one of the many dangers that we will face in our lives. Although it may look the same from the outside, they all have different occurrences and there are 4 types of fire. Although we do not always face every kind of fire, some of them are the types we come across generally.

Class A Fire
They are dangerous types of fire caused by solid combustible materials. Another name is ordinary fires. We can include all combustible materials in this group except metals. So, this class range is quite wide. We can include many solid materials such as wood, coal, paper here.
Liquid extinguishers are very effective in extinguishing such fires. In addition to liquid extinguishers, chemical fire powder is also one of the most effective extinguishing agents.

Class B Fire
It is the class of fire types formed by liquid combustibles. They are generally composed of substances such as gasoline, alcohol, thinner, paint. The most well-known basic properties is high-flaming combustion without creating cinder.
The material commonly used in its quenching is foam. Also the most effective of these substances is foam. However, the foam can be used initially, in other words when the fire affects the smaller ground. In addition to foam, chemical fire powder is also very effective.

Class C Fire
It is a type of fire caused by flammable substances in gaseous form. It is a type of fire caused by the combustion of flammable gases such LPG, natural gas, ethane, methane, propane, ammonia. The most effective of extinguishing operations is to first stop the gas flow and then extinguish it.
Halocarbons and chemical fire powder are used to extinguish such fires

Class D Fire
It is a kind of fire caused by flammable light metals. These metals are light metals such as aluminum, magnesium, zinc, titanium, carbide, sodium, potassium. Its most well-known properties are flameless and with ember combustion. They are also well known for their high temperature combustion. Halocarbon extinguishers are very effective in extinguishing processes. In addition to this method, the usage of chemical fire powder is a very common method. Water should be never used when when extinguishing these types of fire. Because of the high temperature that will arise during the fire, water will decompose and hydrogen gas will be released. This will create a dangerous situation. Therefore, in case of fire extinguishing, fire powder gives the most positive results
